(Davis, 2007) The response to these conditions creates a reaction experienced by the body, which if not released, will cause physical changes that can lead to a variety of illnesses and permanent damage. The concept of stress can be seen as negative and positive. Positive stress is perceived by some to act as a motivating factor and help achieve objectives. Whereas, negative stress takes a sometimes debilitating toll on the body and creates physical and mental problems. Stress management is exploring different stress coping mechanisms that can be used to help improve and reduce stress symptoms in those individuals suffering.I used to play college soccer, however due to a knee injury I do not play anymore. However I remember that when I would play it was a great release for me from my daily stressors. Even during high school, knowing that after school I would either be playing soccer, wrestling or running track was a great way for me to release stress. Even when I wasn't playing a sport I was in the gym lifting weights. However know these days I don't have enough time to go to the gym everyday, but when I do play intramural sports I do feel less stressed for the rest...I: All of us are going to die eventually.. All the stress in your life collects, and with one life-ending explosion the flood gates open. However there may be a way around this, and that is going to be my focus today.Thesis Statement: I am going to present evidence that will show that having animals in your life not only reduces stress but also can reduce the likelihood of that stress becoming life threatening.2. Pet therapy is the direct or indirect use of animals in order to reduce or relieve stress, or bring happiness to the lives of those suffering. Animals have a therapeutic essence, and they brighten a room and set people at ease.Stress is the body’s mental, physical, and emotional reaction to everyday activities. Stress is an issue that reaches everyone, at some point of their life. There are hundreds of stressors that affect us in every aspect of life. Some stressors can be used as positive, while others can ultimately be harmful.3. Since all of you are planning on joining the workforce after you graduate, you should not only know how to handle your workload but also the stress that is bound to come with it. Death too, is coming for all of us. I for one would like that to be a long way down the road, and owing a pet can do that, by relaxing tense nerves and setting you at ease.According to the Review of Management Innovation and Creativity, (Treven, 2011), work stress is recognized worldwide as a major challenge to workers health and the health of their organizations. They claim that workers that are stressed are more likely to be unhealthy, poor motivated, less productive and less safe at work and home. Various approaches to stress management are being applied within organizations worldwide but before the approaches, individuals need to identify the source of the stress whether it be work or personal.Stress has become an inescapable part of today’s world. People are facing stress everywhere, whether it is their homes, offices or even while driving on the road. The world has become a very stressful place. In many cases it is because there are genuine reasons for stress and in some cases it is because people do not know how to cope with stress. Stress is nothing but the incapability of the human mind to cope with the physical and imagined threats that it has to encounter on a daily basis. Stress can lead to all sorts of mental and physical illnesses. Stress management is the only way by which stress can be coped with.
